If you’re asking, “Should I join Wealthy Affiliate?”… honestly, that all depends.
My goal in writing this review of the Wealthy Affiliate program is to help YOU come to an honest review, not only of the program, but of your own needs and desires, and how they may or may not be met by this program.
I’ll just say up front: It’s not for everyone. But on the other hand, it may be perfect for you.

My Opinions and Ratings
First, I’ll give you my opinion and ratings. Then I’ll ask you some questions, to help you determine whether it’s right for you.
Name: WEALTHY AFFILIATE
Price: FREE to start, upgrade to Premium for $49/mo
Owners: Kyle and Carson
Overall Rank: 97.1 out of 100
Who Could Benefit: 8.5 out of 10
The program is excellent! So anyone who puts the effort in will definitely benefit. But some people will not be motivated enough to work on it.
As much as I’d like to give it a 10 because of quality, I’m giving it an 8.5 in this area because I don’t want anyone to be discouraged after joining, thinking that it was so good that they wouldn’t have to do much.
That’s why I’m trying really hard to help you determine whether this is right for you.
Training: 49 out of 50 (see breakdown below)
Overall Flow of the Training: 10 out of 10
Video: 9.6 out of 10
Print Material: 9.9 out of 10
Upgrades and Improvements: 9.7 out of 10
Website Builder: 9.8 out of 10
I have paid good money for other training programs in the past. Oftentimes, there was a 30-day money back guarantee, which was nice because I could test it out.
In some cases, I asked for my money back, because I realized that either the training was so amateurish that it wasn’t worth nearly what they charged for it … or it was pretty good training, but assumed that I was at a much higher level already before starting the training.
In other cases, I “kept” the training. I didn’t ask for a refund. But I stalled out at some point because the training wasn’t as complete as I needed it to be.
With Wealthy Affiliate, it’s a totally different situation. The training is very comprehensive, and proven to work, even for those who are starting completely from scratch.
One of the best things is.. it is so easy to build a website in Wealthy Affiliate. Compared to other platforms I’ve used, Wealthy Affiliate takes the headaches away, and makes progress very attainable regardless of your skill level!
Cost: 9.6 out of 10
You can join for free and stay at that level for as long as you want.
Of course, you could enjoy more benefits if you upgrade to premium. It’s your choice.
You can’t get any better than free!
But since there is a monthly cost to the premium membership (or annual if you want to save money), it is something that you’ll have to figure into your budget, at least until you start bringing in the income to cover it.
Support: 10 out of 10
Support in Wealthy Affiliate comes from so many people within the community.
Those with more experience create training for others.
You can ask a question and get an answer within minutes.
Support is part of the “company culture.”
Proof of People Being Successful: 10 out of 10
I’m not talking about testimonials here. I’m talking about real people that you get to know in Wealthy Affiliate who have achieved success through WA.
They will gladly share their tips with you, helping you be successful, too.
Owners’ Success and Example: 10 out of 10
The Wealthy Affiliate platform and community are a tribute to the owners’ success.
But it’s not just personal success. They are committed to helping others succeed. And that is exemplified by their personal involvement in people’s lives.
So where are you at right now? Not in terms of skills, because that really doesn’t matter. But in terms of needs, desires, and time you could spend?
Are You Willing to Spend at Least An Hour A Day, to Build an Online Business?
If you would prefer interacting with people in person, or being active outside, rather than spend time on the internet, then Wealthy Affiliate is NOT for you.
If you’re looking for a get-rich-quick scheme, Wealthy Affiliate is NOT for you.
Four to six hours a day would be better than one, but I well know it’s hard when you have kids that need your attention. You have to balance the reality of your daily responsibilities and the time it takes to build a business.
I would caution you that anything less than an hour a day could lead to frustration because of slow progress. But a steady hour per day (or more) will pay off in the long term.
The main point is that you have to approach it as work, because it is.
I also know that there are times in life when you need money NOW. We’ve had a lot of those times. Those are the times when it might be good to sell something. Or do something like tutoring. But when you’re looking for the kind of income that comes from a job, whether part-time or full-time, you need to think of it as an actual job.
The question then becomes: Is this worth it in the long run? Is there potential in this “job”?
Within Wealthy Affiliate, you will interact with and learn from many people who have put in the time and effort, and reaped the rewards.
So if you’re willing to work, and if you would like to know that you are following a road map which will lead to success if you don’t quit, and if you want the assurance that all the directions and information are there, and that the experts really care, you will feel like you’ve come home when you walk through the Wealthy Affiliate door.
Would You Benefit from Training on How to Build an Online Business?
Since learning is such an ongoing thing, anyone can benefit from know more than they do right now. Wherever you’re at right now in terms of knowledge and experience, there is more to learn.
Within Wealthy Affiliate, there are different training formats to choose from.
* Online Entrepreneur Certification (50 lessons)
* Affiliate Bootcamp (70 lessons)
* Live Video Classes (weekly)
* Video/Text Tutorials (more than a 1,000)
Training is updated frequently, and new resources are made available every day. So as the industry changes, you can be sure that in Wealthy Affiliate you will be learning what “works” now.
The four basic steps you will learn are:
#1 – Choose an Interest
#2 – Build a Website
#3 – Attract Visitors
#4 – Generate Revenue
You will have to keep focused. But the training is all there. You won’t be left to figure things out alone.
Even the order of the training is very well laid out. You’ll know exactly what step to take next.
Would You Like Support Along the Way?
I think most people would probably say yes to this. Wealthy Affiliate provides help in many ways:
* Live Chat
* Opportunity to ask questions on Blog Posts by members
* Private Messaging
* Website Support and Hosting Support
* Direct access to Kyle, who started Wealthy Affiliate (this may take a little longer than other forms of support, but he will get back to you).
Do You Already Have a Product You Want to Promote?
If yes, great. Wealthy Affiliate can help you grow and excel in getting your message or product out there. And you may even come up with additional ideas to expand on, by using the keyword research.
If no, no problem. Wealthy Affiliate can help you explore thousands of possibilities and come up with something that fits you.
Either way, the tools and information are there for the taking. It just takes time and dedication on your part.
But… How Can You Really Know for Sure?
It’s so much easier to try something out first, before making up your mind. Even better is being able to try it out before even giving your credit card information. It would be great to know that you can take your time, and not have to remember a certain date when you have to “cancel” in order to avoid being charged.
Here’s something extra:
In the first 7 days, you actually get access to all the premium benefits! Then, yes, if you don’t upgrade, the premium benefits will end after 7 days. But… even if you don’t upgrade, you’re still a member! You can stay at the free membership level as long as you want to.
In my opinion, if you would be willing to work to build an online business, it’s better to make a decision from the vantage point of being on the inside.
There’s nothing to lose except the time it takes to check it out.
It’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you’ve been looking for an opportunity that has all the pieces in one box. This is the biggest, most complete box out there!
You don’t have to think of a product first.
You don’t have to think of a niche first.
You don’t have to think of a domain name first.
You don’t have to know how to write a post or a blog entry first.
You don’t have to have experience with WordPress first.
Wealthy Affiliate helps with all these things!
In fact, if all you want to do is learn about any of these things, to see if this would be a direction you’d want to go in, it would be worth a few hours of your time to check it out.
There is so much within Wealthy Affiliate, that you’ll feel like the whole thing is a bonus when you first walk through the door. And as I mentioned, you can stay at the free membership for as long as you want. But if you do want to upgrade to Premium membership in the first 7 days, I will give you a special bonus, which includes a 61% discount on the first month’s premium membership ($19 instead of $49).
When you first join for free, and create your account, I will see that your account is set up, and I will welcome you from within Wealthy Affiliate. At that time, I will let you know a little more about how you can get the most benefit from Wealthy Affiliate from the very beginning, and how to claim your bonus.
If you have any questions, please let me know in the space below.
Also, if you are already a member of Wealthy Affiliate, or have been at some time, I would love to know what you think about it as well.
